Hayley Orrantia is an American actor, singer, and music producer. People are most familiar with the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy TV series 'The Goldbergs'. Her definition of herself is an artist first and foremost. She maintains that music is her first passion. She is experimenting at since she was 9 years old. At the age of 12, the music she was playing took an adolescent turn and she started training professionally. At 13, she began making music. The first time she recorded an album when she was 14. There hasn't been a turning back since. Orrantia is a native of America but with Hispanic heritage. Though she grew up speaking solely English and never lived in Mexico she's very happy about her Hispanic heritage. She strives to maintain it through becoming fluent in Spanish and writing songs in the language. "Hasta Verte," which she recorded in Spanish is one such attempt. Orrantia performed for The X Factor during its debut season in the summer of 2011. Orrantia's YouTube video was chosen and she got four "yeses", or votes, from the judges at The Seattle audition. At first, she auditioned as a soloist, she as well as three female singers were grouped together for the remaining auditions in "Hollywood Week". The group was eliminated from the program during the fifth live week.
